Maintenance and Inspection
1. Regular inspection status:
Visually inspect the valve for external leaks (at the valve stem packing, flange connection, valve body).
Check if the valve stem and handwheel are intact and if the operation is smooth.
2. Regularly test the signal function: manually open and close the valve several times to confirm that the control system can receive the on/off status signal in a timely and accurate manner. This is the core of signal gate valve maintenance.
3. Lubrication: According to the instructions, regularly add appropriate lubricating grease to the valve stem threads, bearings (if any), and other parts. Note that the lubricating grease should be compatible with the medium.
4. Packing gland adjustment: If slight leakage is found at the valve stem packing, try tightening the packing gland nut evenly and slightly. Do not tighten it too tightly at once to avoid crushing the packing and increasing the operating force of the valve stem or accelerating wear. If the leakage cannot be resolved through adjustment, the packing should be replaced according to the regulations.
5. Keep clean: Keep the valve, especially the valve stem and signal device, clean to prevent dirt accumulation from affecting operation or signal device action.
6. Dealing with blockage: If the valve experiences operational blockage, try repeatedly opening and closing it in small increments and lubricate it. If it is ineffective, the system needs to be shut down, and after emptying the medium and pressure, it should be disassembled, inspected, and repaired by professional personnel.
7. Signal device maintenance: Check whether the protection of the signal device is intact, whether the wiring is firm and free of rust. For components such as micro switches inside, pay attention to their service life and replace them if necessary.
